GORO, AZK & EGO
Remain the best plays out there for miners IMO.
GORO WILL be a $10 stock 1st quarter of next year and should be bought on any of these dips for EXTREMELY easy 20%+ moves.
EGO likewise WILL be over $10 but by the end of THIS quarter (Oct 31st) IMO.
AZK is quite confusing to me, produced a bit less at Casa Berardi last quarter but has Joanna results coming this quarter, if you get time John, could you try to help me understand note #8 in the attached 2nd quarter financial? It looks like they are required to buy Gold puts to ease the minds of the financiers??? This would seem to offset any gains in Gold??? If you click on the post title, it'll take you to the link. Sorry to even suggest another penny, but a buddy on I-Hub has been following this for a while and told me this AM it was primed for a move. Quick 10 bagger in April but has pulled back on pretty low volume and moved 10%+ today. I'm gonna give it some DD this weekend cause the board is very strong showing it has MANY followers like QMNM and could pop.
Can't wait for MMTE to get the same type of following as that would mean we were part of the initial pop to a penny :)

Then say he does a 25 to 1 R/S, there would be 100 million A/S & O/S and the share price would go to .125
So you'd have less shares but they'd be worth more creating the same value.
Now he could authorize more shares again increasing the 100 million and dilute the price again.
Make sense?? I personally don't believe he'll do this but this is what the Pedro's of the world think.

MMTE - Details on the well they purchased an interest in.
Accounts for the dilution which was needed to pay for this revenue stream. Joe recently has DECREASED A/S from 7 billion to 1.5 billion and they're around 1.3 billion. If he had planned further dilution he would NOT have left himself with such a small amount to play with. I am in ABSOLUTE love with this play FWIW.

It's just my mentality to feel a bit responsible but I know you guys are straight up good guys :) As I said before i'm still sold on what QMNM is trying to accomplish and while all we're doing is buying and sweating out a price drop, the workers are actually spilling their blood and sweat into making this company legit again. Every day that passes we move closer to removing that BK stigma from the stock and getting numbers for August which will be a full month of 1 shift @ full production.

A lot of safety precautions to hire someone who doesn't have considerable experience as opposed to hiring a drive-thru cashier for Wendy's.

Whadda ya think of MMTE for next week????? Last three run-ups took place on the first day of the week (one was the day after Memorial day).
(.0026 - .0045), (.0018 - .0027) & (.0016 - .0031)
Not to mention the (.0017 - .0060) late March on a B/S P/R
I'm thinking with the news we got the past two days, we could be looking at a run at .005 on Monday.
You gotta check out the I-Hub board for some of the calculations being thrown around. Even if it's 1 barrel/hour, thats 24/day, *365 = 8760 barrels/year *$100/barrel = $876,000/year FROM THE 1ST WELL ALONE and not counting the Nat Gas which is what they were looking for. Now the 2nd well is SUPPOSEDLY gonna produce more based on the oil found so say the same and we're at $1.75 million just for oil/year for the first 2 of 60 wells.With A/S of 1.5 billion thats .0012 being conservative and before any multiple is applied and before the Nat Gas revenue and before the other 58 wells.
I think we're gonna get a ride like the people who rode QMNM from .0006 to .075 but we have no BK hanging over us. The I-Hub & Yahoo boards are about 1/4 as busy as the QMNM boards. Once people start seeing this on all the "stocks to watch" P/R's this weekend into next week, tons of interest will come in.
I'm planning to flip some of this profit into QMNM as it pulls back from all the discouraged investors who can't wait for it to grow.

FNM and FRE are history IMO. LEH, today, is way up, but on speculation (just like so many other financials so many other times). The problem is, with all these trains wrecking, we're holding firm at 11.5 DOW. Buyers are considering all this 'priced in' IMO.

Even if we print a million jobless claims, yet people's confidence is high for next week...we can go up.
2) We go down hard. Yes, HARD. If it's going to happen it's going to happen soon IMO. Money is looking for somewhere to go, and it's not finding any safe haven for more than a few weeks...unless another 'bubble' can be created, I think the bottom falls out and people start moving into cash. All the new 'bailouts' seem to be foreign wealth trying to gobble up our skeletons of companies now. This is bad. Very bad. We've sent so much of our money overseas now, and really, the only thing that any foreign investor is going to want now is control of our companies. If those foreign investors decide to stay the hell out of our mess until it's truly bottomed, we break 10k DOW. If they do, however, put their vast stores of cash (yes, they have boatloads of money) into our co's, this dance will go on for a long time. All IMO of course.

GORO is a fvcking BEAST!!!!!!! $3.40 2 days ago, $4.50 today!!!! If you guys only knew the loot GORO has made me in this mid $3's to mid $4's range. ABsolutely sick.
QMNM definitely a drag but we gotta think long term here.
DXO back over $20 and the rewards of hanging tough will be reaped.

Well POG is following it's recent trend of buying overnight and getting dumped in the morning. Dollar still over .77 and we're gonna need a reversal to get Gold moving again.
EGO looks like the strongest buy this morning as it's looking at the $6's!!!!!!!

Someone at Yahoo lives near the Cedar Grove mine and said yesterday that he saw equipment being moved over there by Whitestar mining. This confirms it. Hopefully the October 15th date can be achieved for production.
As for MMTE, a producing well should get us at least back to the .003 area IMO. Gonna be sure to book some this time.

As for SKF, I think we get a touch of $121-122 before going back over $130. The sub $110 I missed out on was the low for this run IMO.

I have AMAZINGLY STRONGbeliefs in QMNM and in the long-term it's going to make us all happy.

I think that was a good switch as oil looks like it will take a dollar reversal or international event to get moving higher. As for Yamana, it's all about how much you're funds allow you to hold. Cyclist did say the 3rd week in Aug was going to be a low for POG (he's saying this is the 3rd week which I guess is true if Friday the 1st makes up the 1st week???) and it looks a lot like last August.

Absolute disaster
Got into a fight with the bride late Saturday night so bailed and got a hotel. Then left Sunday morning and couldn't make it past Delaware cause of the bumper to bumper through Virginia and into DC area. Then NY and Conn was logjammed today. 19 hours total to get back, and I get back to see this!!!!!!!! WTF???????????
Can anyone pinpoint the piece of news that has turned everything around?? Did the new jobs numbers come out and 100,000 were added and unemployment is down to 4.5%????
I gotta get some sleep guys. This is one of the worst stretches i've gone through in a couple years. (although no losses have been booked yet and I don't plan on doing so)!!!
Maybe a trip to Vegas is in the cards to get my luck changed.

The prices of these miners. POG working on the right side of the massive H & S we spoke of last week (see 4 or 8 hour chart), but is in a nice support zone. These miners haven't been this low since POG was $660!!!!

Great post Nate. They are in BK and did not have enough authorized shares if everyone converted their debt. They aren't going to get financing unless they have the shares to back it up. If they want to get out of BK and expand, this was a must.
We didn't really expect true valuation until they got past the BK and if it he has to dilute some in order to do so, the net will EASILY be positive IMO.
And if they want to expand and generate more revenue they need the option of offering shares to be able to do so. They won't make it going "paycheck to paycheck" so they need a tool to get them capital needed to increase revenue/profits.
I seriously see this as a plus and not because i'm biased here. If he starts pumping shares in the open market for no reason, then i'd be worried, but looking back at the last four months and how they've accomplished EVERYTHING they set out to do, I truly think he wants this company to grow.

I seriously see this as a plus and not because i'm biased here. If he starts pumping shares in the open market for no reason, then i'd be worried, but looking back at the last four months and how they've accomplished EVERYTHING they set out to do, I truly think he wants this company to grow.

Increase in authorized from 975 million to 2.5 billion effective Sept 5 2008! Looks like he is getting ready for some possible purchases of other coal reserves.
Principal Reasons for Increase in Authorized Common Stock
Currently, our articles of incorporation, as amended, authorize 975,000,000 shares of common stock. Authorizing an additional 1,525,000,000 shares of common stock would give our board of directors the express authority without further action of the stockholders to issue common stock from time to time as the board deems necessary. The board of directors believes it is necessary to have the ability to issue such additional shares of common stock to honor conversions of outstanding securities and for general corporate purposes. Potential uses of the additional authorized shares may include equity financings, issuance of options, acquisition transactions, stock dividends or distributions, without further action of the stockholders, unless such action were specifically required by applicable by or rules of any stock exchange or similar system on which our securities may then be listed. The board of directors chose such a large number of shares of authorized common stock because it wants maximum flexibility to issue common stock in the future without having to seek stockholder approval in the future.
As of July 25, 2008, we had 844,503,367 shares of common stock outstanding and as a result we had approximately 130,496,633 shares available for issuance. We have a substantial amount of convertible securities and as of the date hereof, we do not currently have enough authorized stock to satisfy full conversion of all of these securities. In addition, many of these securities have conversion prices based on market price. As such, if the price of our common stock decreases, we will require even more shares available to satisfy conversions. Our series A preferred stock is currently convertible into 40,792,857 million shares. However, the series A preferred converts at a discount to market price and can be converted into a maximum of 342,660,005 shares. Our series C preferred stock is currently convertible into 13,402,061 shares of common stock. However, the conversion price is based on the 5 day average of our market price prior to conversion and if our stock price decreases the amount of common stock required to honor conversions could increase to 260,000,000 shares. In addition, we have $1,119,114 in convertible promissory notes including accrued interest, which are currently convertible into 610,630,559 shares. The conversion price for some of these notes is based on our market price which could result in a maximum of 731,672,910 shares of common stock to satisfy conversions if the price of our common stock decreases. Failure to honor conversions could result in a default under the notes at which time, the noteholders could declare their notes immediately due and payable. We do not currently have sufficient funds to repay the notes in full. Accordingly, we believe it is important to have sufficient stock to honor conversions.
Within the limits imposed by applicable law, described below, shares of common stock could be issued in one or more transactions. Depending upon the nature and terms thereof, such a transaction or transactions could make a takeover of Quest more difficult and, therefore, less likely. An issuance of additional shares of common stock could have the effect of diluting the earnings per share and book value per share of existing shares of common stock and diluting the stock ownership of persons seeking to obtain control of Quest. The board of directors has no present plans, understandings, or agreements to issue the additional shares to be authorized.

PATERSON, N.J., Aug 1, 2008 (PrimeNewswire via COMTEX) -- Quest Minerals & Mining Corp. (OTCBB:QMNM) (Frankfurt:QMNB.F), a Kentucky based operator of energy and mineral related properties, is very pleased to announce that it has reached the point in their operations where they can now move forward into full production mode.
Everett Hampton, President of Whitestar Mining, LLC., commented, "We have turned the corner and have run the last three shifts with great success. Until yesterday, we had limited places to cut coal as we were only mining three (3) headings wide. Now that the engineers have finally calculated the proper directional coordinates, we are able to spread our working section out across the full seven (7) headings. Yesterday, we brought our operational status into full production and cut coal for a full eight hours. Having access to the full seven (7) headings allows us to meet our necessary tonnage requirements. The coal yard was so full yesterday, that we almost ran out of room to store it. Running coal is easy, compared to the rehab work we just completed. We are proud of where we are now and the amount of volume we can produce. Our production goals have since been raised up to 1,000 to 1,300 raw tons per shift. Any coal miner would tell you that this is a very good mine now."
Eugene J. Chiaramonte, Jr., President of Quest Minerals and Mining Corp., stated, "It appears that Whitestar is more capable than ever. They have managed to break all previous single day production records in just their first day of full production! We are very excited for what the future has in store for this company."

I'm here finally
First 360 miles in 6 hours, then took 4 hours to go 70 miles in Lat's neck of the woods. Dude that was HORRIBLE!!!!! Is it like that on the beltway every day????
Talked to P/R guy and he called eugene to tell him we were coming then called me back to confirm it was OK to go Monday. He said Eugene was PROBABLY going to be there as he's in Kentucky today, but if not others will be there.
