That's it guys I have officially been put out of the shorting game
My GM short order got cancelled and I got this notice
"IMPORTANT - FURTHER CHANGES TO SHORT-SELLING CFDS Due to the current market conditions a number of financial authorities are announcing rule changes that affect short-selling physical stocks. These rule changes are put in place to protect the integrity and quality of the securities market and strengthen investor confidence. As a consequence the changes will affect the short-selling of related CFDs."
The ban takes effect immediately and runs until midnight on Oct. 2 but can be extended if deemed necessary to protect investors. It won't last more than 30 days, the SEC said.
I guess they could probably keep extending it until they feel that they are somewhat out of the blue?

Once this ban on short is lifted in 10 days? wouldn't these stocks just skyrocket? SEF, SKF?
Don't think they're going to lift the short ban Sam. If they do and things cut loose again, they will reinstate it.

I'm still playing SKF, but playing UYG with it like i always do. Whats SEF?? Just short Financials? (1/2 of SKF)

Yes just regular short financials ..the moderate version of SKF ! :)
How come mine went through???? Maybe you didn't catch it on an uptick????? Or I got in before the number of shorts hit a certain amount???
If/when they do lift the ban I am shorting this fvcker with both hands.
