MMTE- boy joe i have to admit artic wolf had me going for a second. That was the first time i had ever called headquarters of any company and probably the fastest ive ever dialed a number. Its a good thing he knocked the price back up as i saw .0007's coming.
It is with much regret that I am officially out of gold for the time being. Sold my shares at a fairly large loss (~30K overall) today. That is a 25% haircut, but the writing is on the wall, and I didnt want it to get worse.
I will be back when gold hits 650$, which I am afraid will be all too soon.
It was fun and I will still be around to chat. Once gold broke 780 support, it is all downhill IMO.
i hear ya, coin. i got out of my AUY while were still in the 10's. thank god. i'm not considering gold for a while. i would if i could day trade, but i don't want to sit on much of anything overnight. the only thing i'm still in is SKF.
gold could have a small relief soon, but i see it going way down. these days i'm only betting on financials dropping as they "should". SKF still might be safe. i really hope QMNM does come out with some prod info soon, even if it's weak. the lower we go, the longer it takes to regain confidence and get back to .02

Luckily, this is my trading account and not intended for anything more than profit $$ and money to fund my Roth IRA's with each year. I'm down a LOT as well...could have just bought the Ducati and still have been ahead! Damn! I want to go riding too!
Good luck John, well not too much luck LOL, as I don't see us going much lower from here. This washout, while it has taken longer than I expected, is just about finished. Once the reality that the economy here in the US is the biggest problem, we're going to see our commodities bull take off and become a true safe haven.
As for MMTE, I caught up on todays posts, and glad you called bud. We're in the right place IMO and WILL be rewarded.
I'll know in a half hour or so if my uncle won guys. Fingers crossed!!!!
I have no doubt that SRS and SKF will do well - But gold I just don't know no more - Longterm it will go up but now and year out I'm blank so I'll sit on my hands and study some more
Coin and Nate you guys took some big losses - tuff decision I presume. I have thought of it many times, but I'm long and stay long, gonna stick with the strategy even though the next months are one big ?
BTW: I have a test tomorrow about motivational theory - very interesting and usefull to use on stocktrading
actually my losses weren't too big. i rode it down from 14 to under 10. then sold out and made some of that money back elsewhere. then i got back in at around 10, rode it up (didn't book profits), and then when it came back down to 10 got the hell out...and am staying out. i'm really happy overall with how i played it (all things considered). if i kept my lot at 14 i'd be down almost 50% right now. hopefully gold stabilizes, but it's not hard to imagine buying AUY closer to $5 in the weeks or so ahead. forget riding that down, unless you have the money and time to sit on. Joe's strategy works great for him and is very smart. but if i tried to play by it i'd be bankrupt by now b/c i'm playing with so much less money. i can't sit on lots. not in these rough times at least.
however being as deep as i am in QMNM might be the death of me...so overall i'm still the same stupid guy i've always been.
I feel like I let you guys down, but from a technical stanpoint, the HUI below 285 and gold below 780 was my stop loss...
I still have a bit, and my shorts covered some of the loss.
I think I might be the only one that has kids (two little girls) and I have to answer to a wife as well. It was a haircut, but I am not that worried. Navy pays pretty well (~8K/mo after taxes plus free comprehensive health care) and no debt except a mortgage.
I kept my physical silver and gold, so I am not out of the game completely. I hope for your guys that I am wrong. I honestly do. I can always buy back in if it goes back down as well. After the election is my target.

I am certainly going to look into SRS, but the problem with these markets is that they are NOT free markets!! I know what SHOULD happen...but it doesnt seem to be happening.

What I was trying to say before was that it takes big balls to take a loss in something you fundementally believe is right. I respect that eventhough I choose to hold

I have lots of AUY from 14 down to about 10. So yeah, getting close to a 50% haircut on some, but will hold b/c it's just trading money. Just...yeah...like I don't miss it!!
