How do you buy and sell specific blocks of shares so that they don't get counted as day trades? If I bought SKF yesterday and then again today, if I try to sell any shares today it will still be counted as a day trade...
Not counting Margin Messie, I gotta head out for a few, but if you have over 25K then the day-trading limit is lifted. Unless there's been a change I didn't hear about which I doubt???
If you are flagged as a pattern day trader, you'll be subject to restrictions, including a minimum equity of $25,000 at the start of any day in which day trading occurs. Pattern day-trader accounts that fall below the $25,000 minimum equity requirement and day trading will be restricted to closing transactions only for 90 days, or until the equity is brought up to $25,000.
I think it's just saying that if I don't have 25K, they'll clamp my ass down. I think those warnings are just warnings: I'll be flagged as a pattern day trader, but I CAN day trade, until I go under the $25k mark.

If you have over $25,000 you can do unlimited day-trades
Huh... I do, but I still get that warning when I get to 2 or three day trades...

Or maybe Ameritrade is just programmed in to give that warning rather than change their program for those over the 25K?????
Lemme know as i'd like to know.
Okay, now I get it. TD Ameritrade sayz:

But you said you have $25K??? So it should be lifted??
