Set me back 26K. That was for the base model, which is fine for me, plus a full 7 yr, 75K warranty which I paid an extra grand for.
I only put on average 8K per year on my car so this puppy should last a long time.
Compared to my Mitusbish SUV, it gets a FULL 3x the gas mileage. Traded that puppy in and got more than I expected really.
All in all, after the trade, I wrote a check for 23K. First car I ever paid for in cash. Kind of surprised the salesman when I whipped out my checkbook.
I will say that if you have a Costco membership, it is a pretty good deal. No haggling, there is a base price that is agreed on and it saved about 850$.
They dont negotiate on Prius's given the demand so it was a very good deal.
I am still going to make a carpayment...but I am just going to pay myself every month. :)
